FIGURE PAINTINGS
John Hall made many nude and clothed figure studies during his artistic career, most of which were pencil or pastel drawings. He continued attending evening life classes at the Cambridge School of Art throughout his working life. Many of his costume studies related to the theatrical productions – plays and operas – that he designed period costumes for, a selection of these can be seen in the Theatre Designs section of this website.
